I purchased one of the first Universals in 1984 for $499.99. I love my Bosch! If I had to replace it I would spend $1000,  if needed.  I could not function in my kitchen feeding 12 people everyday without it!

The dough hook will knead 12# of bread dough in just 8 minutes! The gluten has been fully developed in this time, so that only one rising is necessary.

The whips turn on their axis as they rotate around the bowl. The Bosch Universal is used as one of the top Gourmet Kitchen tools for this function alone.  The wire whips will turn one egg white into 1-1/2 cups of meringue. You can fill the 5 quart bowl with boiled potatoes to have the smoothest whipped potatoes you have ever seen in just 2 minutes!

The blender will do everything that I have tried to do that the expensive Vita-Mix can do. It will turn ice into snow, make wonderful smoothies, turn almonds into almond butter, crack grains for cereals, and chop fruits and vegetables!
