Bosch Universal Slicer and Shredder

This is my choice for slicing - thick and thin, shredding, grating, and french fry cutting.

A whisk can be purchased separately to turn this attachment into a small mixing bowl.

When deciding between this and the food processor, I chose this attachment first,  because it has a larger capacity, french fry blade, and whisk ability. It does not have a chopping blade, but most of this function can be done in the Universal blender that accompanies the Bosch Universal.

Here is the slicer/shredder installed on the Bosch universal base.  (Note:  This particular Bosch has been regularly used for 5 years - it belongs to a family of 4 and they use it constantly.  It still looks great!)
This fitting comes with your slicer/shredder and must be present for the shredding/chopping blades to be installed.  (Put it in a safe place - they are small and can get misplaced.)
Here is a photo of the whisk attachement that allows you to use your bowl as a mixer as well as a hopper.  This is a great size for a small batch of cupcakes.
