It will grind grains very course to fine. It also grinds seeds.

I would advise you to save your money for an electrric mill. You will not want to use this for long. If there is an emergency, I will be sprouting the grain for more food volume and nutrition, or boiling water to make a cereal from the whole grain.

If you want an inexpensive mill to put back for an emergency (I hope you are using an electric mill now!) this is the one.
